The state of California, often called Cali by Vietnamese people, is the state with the most Vietnamese people living in the US.
68% of people in California live in the two largest cities, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Currently, about 39% of Vietnamese people are living in California and this is known as the Vietnamese area.
California’s climate is similar to the South of Vietnam with two distinct rainy and dry seasons. Along with the vibrant pace of life, perhaps this is the reason why so many Vietnamese people live here.
California is also one of the US states located in the economic center and has many of the world’s top universities.
